LOS ANGELES (AUGUST 22, 2006) – Moto fans are invited to visit Huntington Beach Honda, at 17555 Beach Boulevard in Huntington Beach, CA for a chance to enter to win a new 2007 Honda CR 450 completely decked out with a one-of-a-kind Jeremy McGrath Invitational graphics package!



Huntington Beach Honda is open Monday through Friday- 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., Saturday- 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Sunday - 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Entry forms are located where the Jeremy McGrath Invitational bike is on display.



The drawing for the winner of the 2007 Honda will take place the second night of racing at the Jeremy McGrath Invitational, October 6 and 7 at the Home Depot Center in Carson, CA. This first-ever Supercross-style race will showcase unique head-to-head race action, never-before seen track designs, exciting entertainment and the largest purse ever offered in the sport of Supercross racing – $500,000.00.



The Jeremy McGrath Invitational is being produced in association with Wasserman Media Group and is presented by American Honda and Amp’d Mobile and sponsored by Dunlop Tires, Kicker Audio Systems, Spy Optics, Pro Taper, Motorcycle Mechanics Institute and DC Shoes.



Event coverage will air on NBC on October 22nd -- post a Nextel Cup NASCAR race.

What is the Jeremy McGrath Invitational?
An invite only two-day, Supercross-style race event offering a $500,000 purse!

When is the event?
Friday, October 6th, 2006 – Gates open at 3:00 PM
Saturday, October 7th, 2006 – Gates open at Noon

Where is the event?
Home Depot Center, on the campus of California State University,
Dominguez Hills in Carson, CA – 15 minutes outside the greater LA area.

What makes this event unique?
1) The entire race format;
2) Top Supercross riders in the world invited;
2) The completely innovative track;
3) The $500,000 purse – the largest ever offered in the sport of supercross and/or motocross racing!

What is the race format like?
The Jeremy McGrath Invitational will feature two nights of thrilling, non-stop race action, featuring two-man head-to-head elimination style motos followed by main event where all 20 invited riders will race each night. Final “Crown” will be awarded based on a combination of both nights’ competitions.

Also, the top freestyle motocross pros have been invited to provide a jaw-dropping demo in between select races each night.

What is the track going to be like?
One of the main highlights of this event will be the track which is being created by Jeremy McGrath himself along with track builder extraordinaire, Randy Mennenga, who recently completed designs for both the freestyle and supermoto events at ESPN’s Summer X Games. Who will be racing?
The top 20 riders competing within the 2006 Supercross series will be invited.

You can expect to see riders like Ricky Carmichael, Chad Reed, James Stewart and Travis Pastrana, to name just a few.

When will the riders be announced?
The riders will be announced as they accept their special invites. Confirmed rider participation will be announced via news releases and will continually be posted and updated here

Is Jeremy McGrath expected to race?
Most definitely.

Will there be open pit areas?
Yes, pit passes will be made available. There will be pre-scheduled autograph sessions, with all of the riders each afternoon.

Who is sponsoring the event?
We expect a great amount of both mainstream and endemic sponsor involvement. As with confirmed rider announcements, sponsor announcements will be made via news releases and will continually be posted on this web site.

Will this event be televised?
Yes, we have partnered with a major television network and expect the Jeremy McGrath Invitational to be broadcast in a prime weekend timeslot. Specifics regarding the event’s television package are forth coming.

When do tickets go on sale?
Tickets are available now by calling 888-MCRACE1, logging on to ticketmaster.com, in person at the Home Depot Box Office or any Ticketmaster outlet.

Why is Jeremy McGrath doing this event?
According to McGrath, “It’s been a dream of mine to create a cool, unique, must-attend racing event that top riders will want to be invited to-- racing and a track like fans have never seen before and an overall experience that would appeal to a wide audience of motorsports enthusiasts.”
